Project REAL selected to participate in exciting new K-12 program Project REAL recently was recently honored to be one of only four organizations in the United States selected to participate in Play By the Rules (PBR).a practical application of law to students’ daily life. While our programs are currently available to all K-12 students in Clark County, PBR will facilitate them spread to other counties over the next few years. REAL Drama addresses a contemporary issue by bringing a play into the classroom. The current REAL Drama production addresses immigration and focuses on a family with members of both legal and illegal status involved in deportation proceedings. Following the play (performed at middle and high schools by actors from the Las Vegas Academy of Performing Arts), an immigration professional answers students’ questions. KNTV, Las Vegas Channel 3, filmed and featured the play on “Wake up with the Wagner’s,” a morning news show. Read More about the play. |
